Join the students and staff of Rum River Elementary School with our annual service-learning initiative, Rum River Against Hunger (RRAH). For over a decade, we have been actively engaged in fundraising efforts and collaborating with nonprofit hunger relief organizations to pack and distribute meals. This year, we are once again partnering with Harvest Pack for our RRAH event, with an ambitious goal of packing 50,000 meals.

RRAH goes beyond mere food packing; it represents an invaluable opportunity for our students, staff, and volunteers to unite during an all-school, all-day service-learning project in May. Participants work in shifts to assemble nutritionally complete meals. This experience is not just about raising funds; it's about instilling in our future generations the significance of assisting those in need and fostering collaboration to effect positive change.

We extend an invitation to you to join us in supporting this meaningful cause. Our staff, students, and families make donations through our various fundraisers including hat/PJ days, smencil sales, Dine to Donate events, and more. Your financial contribution pushes us closer to our goal of playing a pivotal role in helping us make a positive impact on the lives of those grappling with hunger and imparting valuable life lessons to our students. Please donate below or contact us for further details about sending in a check.     e-mail questions:Karenl.Strassburg@ahschools.us or Corinne.Martin@ahschools.us
